Global PQC Migration Timeline
I built this tool because tracking post-quantum cryptography deadlines across jurisdictions had become a research project in itself. There are now over 60 distinct milestones, mandates, and deadlines set by 15+ countries, regulatory bodies, and standard-setting organizations — and they don’t always agree with each other on timelines, algorithm choices, or whether hybrid cryptography is required.
This interactive timeline maps every PQC-related deadline I’ve been able to verify against primary sources: government mandates (CNSA 2.0, NIST IR 8547, UK NCSC phases, EU coordinated roadmap, BSI, ANSSI, ASD, and others), financial-sector directives (G7 CEG, Bank of Israel, MAS, HKMA), and industry commitments (Google, Cloudflare, OpenSSL). Each marker links to my detailed analysis of that specific deadline or mandate on PostQuantum.com.
How to use it
The timeline defaults to key milestones. Click “+ Show all entries” to expand to the full dataset. Use the Region, Sector, and Milestone filters to narrow the view. Hover or tap any entry for the full description and a link to the analysis.
Why this matters
The earliest deadline in any jurisdiction you operate in is your effective deadline. A multinational with US, EU, and Australian operations doesn’t have until 2035 — it has until 2027 or 2030. This tool makes those overlapping obligations visible at a glance.
I update this timeline as new mandates are published. If you spot a deadline I’ve missed, contact me. For the full analysis, see the Global PQC Migration Timelines Deep Dive.
